This year I'm taking part in Relay For Life Wexford. An amazing community event that will take place over 24 hours on 5th & 6th July 2025 in Páirc Charman.

Funds raised from this event will support vital support services for people living with cancer in Wexford and across the country. These much needed funds will help the Irish Cancer Society continue to provide Night Nurses, Volunteer Drivers, a freephone Support line, counselling sessions, fund life changing research & much more.

Hello to anyone reading. My name is Orlagh. I am a 32 year old mother of 2. My story is one of fight, taking back my power and not just surviving but living. 

I was originally diagnosed with hodgkins lymphoma in 2023 while pregnant with my 2nd daughter Nora, who is thriving thank goodness. Since then I have reached remission and relapsed. 

In 2023 I had no idea where this journey would take me, I was scared and alone. 2025 Orlagh is a different beast. This year, I am taking my power back. I refuse to sit around and wait for cancer. I refuse to let this disease dictate my life. So here I am, living my life with my second relapse. I am still fighting.

I have reached remission once and i know, I will do it again. 

This year I am doing relay for all the beautiful mothers who fight to live with this disease. I see you, I'm with you, I am you. Keep living, each day is different, take it all as it comes.
