Why I’m Fundraising for Relay for Life 2026

Cancer touches every community, every family, and every one of us in some way. That’s why I’m proud to be fundraising for Relay for Life 2026, taking place in Sligo on 5th & 6th September, and why I’m honoured to be part of the Committee organising this important event. I will be looking after the Teams registering for the Relay.
Relay for Life is so much more than a fundraiser. It’s a powerful coming together of people to celebrate survivors, remember loved ones, and stand shoulder to shoulder with those currently facing cancer. Over a 24-hour period, teams walk in relay to show that cancer never sleeps, and neither does our commitment to supporting those impacted by it.
Every euro raised helps the Irish Cancer Society provide vital services: free cancer support, practical advice, research funding, and advocacy to ensure better outcomes for patients and families across Ireland. These supports make a real, tangible difference when people need it most.
I’m fundraising because I believe in the strength of community, in hope, and in the difference we can make when we work together. Relay for Life is about compassion, resilience, and action and I’m proud to be part of it.
Thank you for supporting this incredible cause 💜

Well done!
