This year I'm taking part in the Sligo event at ATU Sligo, Ash Lane, Ballytivnan, Co. Sligo. An amazing community event that will take place over 24 hours.

I’m fundraising for a great cause

Funds raised from this event will support vital support services for people living with cancer. These much needed funds will help the Irish Cancer Society continue to provide Night Nurses, Volunteer Drivers, a freephone Support line, counselling sessions, fund life changing research & much more.

RELAY FOR LIFE

Saturday 10th May
Hi my name is Diane and I am raising funds to support Cancer patients and their famiIies. In February 2022 I lost my brother to Cancer, that was very hard on me. Then in Nov 2023 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, my life stood still in shock and fear. There was alot off tears and worries about the unknown, especially having a young daughter  aged 8.
I started chemotherapy in Nov 2023, which finished in April 2024. The nurses where fantastic throughout my treatment. Then I started radiation in May 2024, and I got through it all focusing on my daughter and with the support off my family and the Sligo Cancer Support Centre. This service was absolutley brillant for me, they supported and helped me through my journey of Breast Cancer and recovery. I wish to thank you again and to all the girls in the centre.
