Wednesday 23rd Jull'll never forget the day I was told I had cancer—an overwhelming sense of numbness came on me. You never think it will happen to you. I had a biopsy on October 1st, and by October 11th, 2024, I underwent surgery to remove the cancer. It had already spread to surrounding tissue, but thankfully, it was still caught early. I completed my treatment in December.
I was diagnosed with a type of breast cancer called Invasive Lobular Carcinoma—not the worst, but certainly not the best. I had no idea there were so many different types of breast cancer.
This is why I want to raise awareness and encourage you to support Relay for Life—to stand with all those who have been affected by cancer, and to honour the strength, courage, and stories behind every diagnosis
