Relay for Life is a powerful and inspiring community event that brings people together to celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer, and fight back against the disease.  At its heart Relay for Life is about community. Teams of friends, families and colleagues take turns walking around a track throughout the day and night, symbolising the ongoing journey of those affected by cancer and the fact that cancer never sleeps. One of the most moving moments of the event is the Survivor's Lap, where cancer survivors lead the way, celebrated for their strength and resilience. Relay for Life is not just about the remembrance - it's also about action. Teams fundraise in the lead-up to the event, with all proceeds going towards free cancer support services, research, and advocacy provided by the Irish Cancer Society. Throughout the event, there is also a festival-like atmosphere, with music, games, themed laps, and activities to keep spirits high, It is a celebration of life, courage, and community strength.

Relay for Life shows that no one has to face cancer alone, Together through every step taken and every euro raised communities are making a real difference in the fight against cancer.
