My Relay for Life event

This year I'm taking part in the Sligo event at ATU Sligo, Ash Lane, Ballytivnan, Co. Sligo. An amazing community event that will take place over 24 hours.

I’m fundraising for a great cause

Funds raised from this event will support vital support services for people living with cancer. These much needed funds will help the Irish Cancer Society continue to provide Night Nurses, Volunteer Drivers, a freephone Support line, counselling sessions, fund life changing research & much more.

Hi I'm doing relay for life as a breast cancer survivor. I had no symptoms at all and was diagnosed in June 2021 in the UK as was doing lock down there and needed my blood pressure meds . I couldn't get my prescription from ireland so had to register for a gp practice in the uk who treated me like i had never been to a gp before so following a routine mammogram i was diagnosed with the lovely aggressive stage 3 breast cancer in June 2021 I did my chemo surgery and radio therapy in the UK . I want t My self and ian have fundraised for breast cancer research ireland and breast cancer now . We have travelled in our pink mini over 11 countries in 4 days ireland to nice

and back to uk on a banger rally in 2022 and uk to Romania in 2023 . We also did Scotland nc 700 . We used the trips to fundraise and highlight how important we go for our checks.
