Lap of Ireland Team Relay and Wicklow 200 solo
On Saturday 21st June, I'll be helping the Bishops Gate Team to contribute as many kilometres as possible during our "power hour" on a static bike as we take part in the Kilternan COI 24 Hour Team Relay For Life with the aim of collectively cycling the distance of a lap of Ireland (2,300km).
To help get me in shape for the "power hour", I'll be taking on the slightly more daunting challenge of the Wicklow 200. This has been a bucket list event that has eluded me over the last few years due to Covid and a rather unfortunate run-in with the Luas tracks. Thankfully, I've fully recovered and am on track (pun intended) to take on the most iconic climbs the "Garden County" has to offer over the 200km course on Sunday 8th June.
Funds raised from both these events will support vital support services for people living with cancer. These much needed funds will help the Irish Cancer Society continue to provide Night Nurses, Volunteer Drivers, a freephone Support line, counselling sessions, fund life changing research & much more.
