2023 - When cancer came for my family and my best friend
Friday 6th JunIn 2023, I faced the devastating loss of my dearest friend Cora to cervical cancer, highlighting the urgent need for ongoing research.
That same year, my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer, but thanks to groundbreaking research, she underwent successful surgery and radiation therapy and is now doing well.
My sister also faced her own challenge with Ductal Carcinoma In Situ (DCIS), detected through routine screening. After timely treatment, she, too, is thriving.
These experiences have shown me the critical role of cancer research in providing hope and effective treatment.
On June 20th I will captain a team of 3rd to 6th Class parents from Kilternan Church of Ireland NS to cycle for an hour of a 24hr relay. Please help by donating any amt you can, I truly appreciate your support.
