Team Donna’s Army are fundraising for a great cause-Relay for Life Kildare 2025

Team Donna's Army first joined Relay for Life Kildare in 2023 in memory of Donna, a fantastic Mother, a beloved Daughter, an amazing Sister and very much loved Friend.  Donna fought with amazing strength in her battle to beat cancer.  So we decided to join Relay for Life Kildare to always remember Donna and also raise vital, much needed funds for The Irish Cancer Society.

Relay for Life Kildare is an annual community event which is part of Relay for Life, the biggest Cancer fundraising initiative across the world.  It sees communities across the globe coming together to celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer and stand shoulder to shoulder with those facing cancer.  Relay for Life is a celebration of solidarity and helps to raise awareness of the services provided by the Irish Cancer Society locally, for us, Relay for Life Kildare and nationally.

Cancer never sleeps, so nor do our Relay teams.

In this 24 hour event teams join together and take turns to walk through the day and night along with families and friends and also socialise, enjoy live entertainment and take part in other activities.

The Candle of Hope ceremony begins at dusk where thousands of candle bags that have been personalised with messages for their loved ones are lit during a very poignant ceremony.
