This year I'm taking part in Relay For Life Wexford. An amazing community event that will take place over 24 hours on 4th & 5th July in O'Driscoll Park.

Funds raised from this event will support vital support services for people living with cancer in Wexford and across the country. These much needed funds will help the Irish Cancer Society continue to provide Night Nurses, Volunteer Drivers, a freephone Support line, counselling sessions, fund life changing research & much more.

Why I Am Taking Part in Relay For Life

This year, I am taking part in Relay for Life because cancer has had a profound impact on my family, as it has on so many others.

I have lost grandparents to cancer, and today I have family members who are currently fighting the disease. Like many people, I know the heartbreak, uncertainty, and fear that cancer can bring into a family. I also know the strength, resilience, and courage shown by those facing it every day.

That is why Relay for Life means so much to me.

Relay for Life is more than just a fundraising event. It is a celebration of survivors, a remembrance of those we have lost, and a show of support for those who are currently battling cancer. It brings communities together to stand in solidarity with families affected by the disease and reminds people that they are not alone.

The funds raised through Relay for Life help support vital cancer research and services that make a real difference in people's lives. Every donation contributes to improving treatments, supporting patients and their families, and helping to create a future where fewer lives are impacted by cancer.

I am participating in memory of the loved ones I have lost and in support of those who continue to fight. Every lap walked represents hope, remembrance, and determination. It is a chance to give back to a cause that touches so many families, including my own.
